”I've had many positive experiences through these past 2 months. I've met a lot of great people, learned new thing and gained a lot of new experience. But the thing I liked the most is the involvement in projects (such as trips to New York, Azerbaijan etc.). I think that really shows how dedicated and good your intentions are for helping us learn and benefit from this.”

Anonymous, New Media Ambassador 1, GEYC Resources Center

”My experience with GEYC taught me to work independently online and search for new opportunities, resources. This meant prioritizing and using perseverance in achieving the set goals and objectives. Now I know so many useful resources that I will be more than happy to share with my colleagues and friends.”

Mariana Oprea, New Media Ambassador 1, GEYC Resources Center
Flensburg, Germany

”The best thing about the practical stage was the openness delivered from the coaches in general. It is an exceptionally good thing when a positive reply comes after an idea, especially when you are a little bit afraid expressing your thoughts. And, I loved it how projects were posted to the Facebook group regardless the reports and formality, where everyone could find something for themselves to apply for. ”

Vanja Cakić, New Media Ambassador 1, GEYC Resources Center
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

”Though the practical stage was only for a short time, I have learnt a lot. My knowledge about new media and social media have been broaden. When searching for media resources, I have found many interesting tools and platforms which are helpful for me. And I also benefit from the resources that others ambassadors contribute, the methods they use, and catch up with a lot of interesting projects around the world, which provided from the GEYC team. After all, I think the Resources Center project was a very good environment for me not only to practice but also to see my weak points and learn how to improve them in my working life. Thanks a lot to the GEYC team and wish you more success in the future! ”

”When I was applying for the internship in GEYC Resources center I hoped to gain hands-on experience online, promoting social media and new tools for young people. My expectations came true. With my colleagues who are very enthusiastic people we added new useful resources to the website, developed new ideas and started new exciting program! I always felt that any contribution from me or from my colleagues will be appreciated by many people afterwards.”

”During my period as NMA I had the opportunity to test and learn about some Social Media tools, that in other circumstances I don’t think I would have the possibility to test them. It was a beautiful experience taking into consideration that the GEYC staff is young, but very professional. I am sure that soon this organization will grow up and will be a model for the future new young entrepreneurs. ”

"The NMA team was amazing and everything went as expected and even better than expected regarding some tasks. Group work is something that I highly recommend, needless to say when it is about working in a multicultural team with amazing managers like Gabriel and Diana. The tasks weren't hard and the internship is accessible to anyone. Don't forget, you’ll be doing the tasks from the comfort of your couch. So don't hesitate and join."

"My practical stage was a period of cool discoveries. I met some really great people, even thought it was online, I tried some really useful resources and I managed to collaborate with people all over the world. For me, GEYC was an inspiration. I didn't think that a project could go so well when people work together online voluntary, without seeing each other in real world or being paid for their contribution. Congrats to the founders for the idea and to the ones who make this project happen!"

Lavinia Țole, New Media Ambassador 3, GEYC Resources Center

"Overall, it was a great experience to work in a multicultural environment, to get the chance to work with young and creative people. And as a bonus, now I know about all these useful resources I didn't know before."

"Hi, My name is Vasco Batista and I am Portuguese. From September to December 2013 I have been participating as a volunteer at the GEYC Resources Centre, a non-profit organization from Romania working in the fields of education and communication. In these past weeks, I have been testing different online resource tools, improving my communication and organizational skills, learning day by day about social media and how it the communication process works at a NGO from another country. Furthemore, it has been a positive impact on my methods of work. Actually, I have learned a lot by joining a international, diverse and fast-paced team as it is at GEYC Resources. This is the type of environment in which I realised I like to work and to develop new skills. This experience is among of the best projects I had in 2013!"

Vasco Batista, New Media Ambassador 3, GEYC Resources Center

"Throughout the practical stage I had the chance to be part of a very positive and full of energy team. These qualities are valid both for the interns/volunteers and for the GEYC staff. This was very important for the entire period of time of the practical stage. Other positive thing was having the chance to contribute to the facebook page for a while. It was also a positive thing to have access to so many resources from such a variety of categories. Some of the resources I am using and I will be using in the future."
